cOn October 11, 2025, the Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation celebrated its 25th anniversary with a full-day conference at the Embassy of Austria in Washington, D.C., co-hosted with ASCINA - Austrian Scientists & Scholars in North America.
Under the theme “Networking & Dialogue About the Best Path Forward,” the event brought together outstanding Austrian researchers in North America, leading voices in science and innovation policy, and representatives from academia, government, and industry. Center Austria was represented by its director, Marc Landy and director emeritus, Günter Bischof. The event also provided a welcome opportunity to connect with representatives from our partner, the Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation, represented by its president, Wolfgang Petritsch and executive director, Karin Emprechtinger, as well as with one of the Center’s senior research fellows, Hannes Richter (Austrian Embassy).
A highlight of the day was the Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation’s Poster Session and Awards Ceremony, showcasing the cutting-edge research of young Austrian scholars abroad. We warmly congratulate the winners of the Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation Poster Prize 2025:
