Christina Antenhofer was born in Brunico (South Tyrol) 1973, she studied history, German and Romance at the Universities of Innsbruck and of the Sorbonne (Paris IV). In 2004 she received her PhD with a dissertation on the correspondence of Gonzaga family in Mantova and the counts of Görz.

Since 2004 she is a researcher and lecturer at the department of history and ethnology of the University of Innsbruck, with special focus on the late medieval and Renaissance period in the contact zone between German and Italian area.

Andreas Oberhofer was born in 1978 in Brixen (Autonomous Province of Bolzano, Italy), he studied history and German Philology at the University of Innsbruck, Austria. He received his PhD with a dissertation on the written legacy of the Tyrolean “Freedom fighter” and “national hero” Andreas Hofer (1767-1810). Since 2002 he is a project collaborator at the department of History and Ethnology at the University of Innsbruck. Since 2004 he is working on the figure of Andreas Hofer and has published two books – a commented edition of Andreas Hofer’s writings and a biography – and various essays.
